Released at the start of August, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. should have been a massive success and paved the way for a new franchise. Appealing to fans of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE and the Jason Bourne franchise, this movie ranks as one of the absolute best TV series adaptations and could be  Guy Ritchie 's best studio work. I do not hold high hopes for KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD, but everything that fits into Ritchie's bag of director tricks works in spades in this film. In the 1960s the word uncle referred to more than just one of your relatives. From 1964 to 1968, uncle also stood for the United Network Command for Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E) and formed the basis of a hit TV show about a crime fighting duo saving the world from evil. The Man from U.N.C.L.E  starred Robert Vaughan and David McCallum as agents Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin who saved the world from the evil THRUSH organisation. Remember how charming and witty they were? What about the never-ending gadgets they used? The show gained notoriety for pairing an American agent (Solo) and a Russian agent (Kuryakin), particularly during the Cold War period of the ’60s. Senta Berger was born in Wien, Austria, 1941. She was one of the most beautiful female stars to appear in The Man From UNCLE series. Berger was the only guest to be listed in the opening credits along Robert Vaughn, in front of David McCallum. She was cast in the episode # 8, The Double Affair (later a feature film called The Spy With my Face ). Senta Berger was from her early years an artist. She was the serious actress that could be cast as a sex symbol in cheap commedies and big international productions. ANd managed well to move behind the cameras as a producer. Senta Berger is still active as a volunteer in environmental and humanitarian organizations.
