The affair:

In Paris, the magician Merlin is introduced to his new assistant Mimi Doolittle. He shows his Electronic Thought Translator for Illya Kuryakin and agent Cantrell. (Napoleon Solo is on vacation). At night, Merlin does his magic tricks. The translator is aimed to Victor Marton, from THRUSH. He mentally reveals that will kill Merlin and steal the translator. THRUSH men kills Merlin. Illya and Cantrell escape with the Translator. Viktor commands the THRUSH men in a trip to New York. A girl called Mimi tells her mother that she is returning home in the same city. In New York, Cantrell warns that the Translator will enter the US via Canada. Waverly wants to use Mimi to divert attention on Cantrell. Lucia Belmont, an ambitious leader of THRUSH, wants the Translator too.

PSI - Another memorable episode, especially because the classy presence of Vincent Price (1911-1993) in the cast. Price was a big star for their participation in horror films like The Fly (1958) and Roger Corman’s adaptations of the Edgar Allan Poe works, in the 1960s. He’d rather be known as by classic movies such as Laura (1940), directed by Otto Preminger. It has been known to new generations as the voice that starts (and the laughter at the end) of the mega success Thriller, by Michael Jackson. A good mix of classic spy fiction espionage with touches of comedy. According to the guide William J Koenig, "one of the best episodes of the series. (...) The story shows how cold you can be Waverly. He sends Napoleon Solo as bait, even if the operator does not have a clue where you're getting into." Solo is driven to think that he was “exiled” from the organization.
