Robert Vaughn, the original Man From UNCLE, gave his blessing to the new Napoleon Solo, Henry Cavill. In a interview to HenryCavill website, Vaughn said:
“I’m sure he’ll be fine. He’s an attractive actor. I’ve seen him wearing the Superman suit. The main thing he has to have to make the character work is a sense of humor. That’s what we always said… no matter how dire the situations were, the humor was the thing that helped us prevail".

The Man From UNCLE movie entered the Entertainment Weekly radar. The most prestigious show business/pop culture magazine in the world published its "First Look" on the film, due to premiere in August. Henry Cavill (as Napoleon Solo) is obviously the main attraction:
But the best joke was told by Armie Hammer. Hammer plays russian agent (and Solo's sidekick) Solo's sidekick. Hammer told Entertainment Weekly that to be prepared for the role, he "moved to Soviet Union for six years. It was time travel as well as location. The jet lag is a killer".

What British magazine Impact said about Man From UNCLE first trailer:
Kingsman: The Secret Service Spectre The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
The Man from U. N. C. L. E. is based upon Sam Rolfe’s 1960’s spy-fi series of the same name, and is directed by Guy Ritchie with Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer in the lead roles. Since the start of the decade however, many names have circulated the film, with Steven Soderbergh initially interested in helming the project and stars such as George Clooney and Tom Cruise in what is now Cavill’s role. At the sight of this first look trailer, the developmental struggles appear to be worth the wait.
From a fairly quiet, calm, collected and then tense start, the trailer launches into a car chase consisting of one of the more amusing finishes to such an action event in recent memory. What follows are a series of action set-pieces with witty moments of dialogue sprinkled in between to form a satisfying first look.

It’s 1963, some of the chilliest days of the Cold War, and an international criminal organization with ties to ex-Nazis has sprung up. Rumor has it they have an atom bomb. Welcome to The Man From U.N.C.L.E., the latest ’60s TV-to-screen adaptation. Guy Ritchie directs the pic, which stars Henry Cavill as CIA agent Napoleon Solo and Armie Hammer as KGB operative Illya Kuryakin. The sworn enemies are forced to table their hostilities and work together to infiltrate the nasties, who are intent on upsetting the fragile geopolitical balance. Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Debicki, Jared Harris and Hugh Grant co-star in the actioner scripted by Ritchie and Lionel Wigram from a story they wrote with Jeff Kleeman and David Campbell Wilson. Warner Bros opens it August 14.

This is the first trailer of The Man From UNCLE 2015 just released by Warner Brothers. There's no reference to the original series. Director/writer Guy Ritchie made an option for a total revamp. No Del Floria's, no UNCLE logo, no original musical theme. Henry Cavill make a good work as Napoleon Solo, very close to the original actor, Robert Vaughn. And Armie Hammer is far from David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin, now with a Russian accent. Solo and Kuryakin start the trailer (and the film) as rival spies working for CIA and KGB in 1963. We can't forget this is only the first trailer. Premiere: 14 august 2015.
A new set of official The Man From UNCLE pictures were released by Warner Brothers. The one above shows the film heroes, Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) and Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer).
