1.  Like James Bond, Napoleon Solo and April Dancer were the brainchildren of Ian Fleming. The show's creator, Norman Felton, enlisted erstwhile Navel Intelligence officer and novelist Fleming to come up with characters and premises for  The Man from U.N.C.L.E . The Bond author dreamt up Napoleon Solo and April Dancer (The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.). The working title for the series was  Ian Fleming's Solo . Image: AP Photo 2.  It is technically set in the Sherlock Holmes universe. On the show, the U.N.C.L.E. organization's nemesis, T.H.R.U.S.H., was founded by the Sherlock Holmes villain Col. Sebastian Moran. In the backstory, Moran created the evil organization after his boss, Moriarity, went over the Reichenbach Falls. So, in a way,  The Man from U.N.C.L.E.  is a sequel to  Sherlock  — it is set in the same world. Kathryn Hays (born Kay Piper, July 26, 1933) is an American actress, best known for her role as Kim Hughes on the CBS soap opera, As the World Turns from 1972 to 2010. Hays was born in Princeton, Illinois, and grew up in Joliet. Hays was married to actor Glenn Ford from 1966 to 1969. In the 1966–67 television season, Hays appeared as Elizabeth Reynolds Pride in the NBC western series The Road West, with co-stars Barry Sullivan, Andrew Prine, Kelly Corcoran and Glenn Corbett. She played Sullivan's wife and Prine's stepmother (though she was only three years his senior). Corbett appeared as her brother, Chance Reynolds. In 1968, she appeared on Star Trek in the episode "The Empath" portraying Gem, a mute alien capable of assuming the pain and the injuries of others and, thereby, healing them. ‘NCIS’: David McCallum Set To Return For Season 16  NCIS  veteran  David McCallum  has closed a deal to return to the venerable CBS drama series next fall for its  recently ordered  16th season. With Pauley Perrette leaving the crime procedural at the end of the current fifteenth season, McCallum and  NCIS  star Mark Harmon are now the only remaining original cast members. Both are set to come back next season; Harmon’s new contract sealed  NCIS ‘ Season 16 renewal last month. With the exception of Perrette, all  NCIS  cast members are expected to continue.
