David McCallum (as Illya Kuryakin) was extremely popular in 1966. He was called "the blond Beatle". In the Pathé video above you will see the arrival of McCallum in London sometime in 1966. The girls gone crazy. David lands in a beautiful Vickers VC-10 from BOAC (minute 01:50). He confronts an army of reporters and waves to the crowd of fans.
