FYI: This was one of the first episodes to be filmed, eight months before air. The tone is dark, dealing with death and disease all the way. It explores the drama of disability seriously. It was hard for us, fans in the 1960's seeing venerable Mr Waverly as the victim of a maniac. Yvonne Craig, future Bat Girl, is back to UNCLE. The end of the episode suggests a follow up - that never happened. Code "20A" means “Waverly in danger”.
