Other films of his, like King Arthur and Sherlock Holmes, fit the bill perfectly, but what seems to be enduring on planes right now is The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Planes are for romps. The tiny screens lend themselves to bright colors and fun sets, not dark and dingy scenes packed with dour emotions. In The Man From U.N.C.L.E. you get espionage, intrigue, cocktail rings, and Armie Hammer in some really great clothes. This one is already enjoyable off a plane, but you’ll probably feel a little less guilty choosing it over everything else on a plane.—JS
