Business Times: "'The Man From U.N.C.L.E. 2' May Hit WarnerMedia's Turner Networks Or HBO"

Image
By Jonnalyn Cortez Aug 26, 2019 05:15 PM Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer played the roles of Solo and Ilya in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. in 2015. But after four years, fans are still expecting to see their return in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. 2. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. had initially been an MGM television series that ran for four seasons on NBC before it was adapted into a movie under Guy Richie's directing skills. The show started the spy procedural craze of the 1960s before it became an underperforming spy film under Warner Bros. Although it didn't perform well in the box office, it was well-received by critics. It was said to be stylish, carrying a star-driven breeze. If MGM once again collaborates with WarnerMedia to make The Man From U.N.C.L.E. 2, these studios can go on different directions. They can follow its original procedural format and aim for syndication. Hence, they can stick in on one of WarnerMedia's Turner networks - like TNT and TBS, per Observer. Altho...

Is 'The MAN From U.N.C.L.E. 2' Happening? Facebook Twitter Print Mail RSS By  KM Diaz Aug 20, 2019 05:37 PM The Man From U.N.C.L.E was released in 2015, and there were previous talks the movie will have a sequel, yet there's still no news about it until now. But while there were reports about The Man From U.N.C.L.E. 2, the real question is: is the second movie still happening or not? Previous reports revealed that there were ongoing talks about The Man From U.N.C.L.E 2, but even though this news might be true, fans probably need to wait for a while until the official announcement is made. The sequel is reportedly in the works, and the script was being written as well, yet no further details were revealed about the second movie. If ever The Man From U.N.C.L.E. 2 is confirmed, lead stars Henry Cavill (plays Napoleon Solo) and Armie Hammer (Illya Kuryakin) will surely be back, alongside Elizabeth Debicki, Alicia Vikander, and Hugh Grant. Guy Richie directs the fir...

Screen Rant: "10 Flops From The 2010s That Deserve A Second Chance"

Image
BY  JASON WOJNAR   – ON  AUG 18, 2019   IN  LISTS Guy Ritchie knows how to make an entertaining spectacle, from his humble days making Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch to his big budget spectacles like Aladdin and Sherlock Holmes. Unfortunately, some of his later films haven't broken bank at the box office. One such film undeserving of the low returns was The Man From U.N.C.L.E., based on the '60s television show. This comedic spy action flick carries Ritchie's signature style and is entertaining through and through. While it didn't bomb as bad as some of the others on this list, it didn't do as well as expected.
